Listening module consists of four sections, each of which has 40 questions. Students listen to English dialogs and monologues, which step-by-step become more advanced and complex.
Discussion module means an interview between the candidate and examiner. It includes three main parts: about-myself story, monologue on the given topic and discussion of abstract ideas related to the preceding topic.
Reading module consists of three passages and 40 questions, where they become, step-by-step, more advanced and complex.
Writing module includes two tasks: description of the diagram or table, substantiation of opinion and problem settlement.
IELTS preparation course includes listening exercises to comprehend British, American and Australian English, and skill mastering exercises to respond to different types of questions: «multiple choice»; questions stipulating short responses, questions-conclusions or questions for filling up the gaps.
When taking a preparation course, the students will learn to work effectively with complex texts of academic and scientific nature, as well as to express their opinions in a verbal and writing manner; to reason it; to weigh evidences and make conclusions in English. When preparing, the attention is also paid to increasing the vocabulary and using the complex syntax and grammar structures, since written and verbal results of the test will be evaluated, in particular, under criteria designed for using different scientific terminology and syntax structures.
